Prepare artwork for the specified print process

Final requirements depend on the printer and process. Obtain the supplier’s current template and preflight rules before releasing files.

Common preflight checks

• Correct finished size, bleed, safety area, dieline, and page count
• Approved color mode, spot colors, ink limits, and output profile
• Embedded or outlined fonts and sufficient image resolution
• Intentional transparency, overprint, trapping, and knockout behavior
• Clear filename, revision, proof, and approval records
